Tiffanie Tri is an artist focused on belonging, memory, and the legacy of displacement. Her writing has been published in the Globe and Mail, CBC and the Toronto Star. She writes and produces music as KASHIN | 家倩.

 

Since 2023, Tiffanie has served on the City of Ottawa’s Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee to support community engagement and the development of a new Cultural Funding Framework and Policy.

Prior to that, Tiffanie led the growth of community organization Girls+ Rock Ottawa as chair from 2017 to 2021 and vice-chair from 2015 to 2017. Under her leadership, the organization established partnerships with the National Arts Centre and ArtHaus Music and was named the United Way Ottawa's GenNext Community Builder of the Year in 2018.

With 15 years of experience in the federal government, Tiffanie has extensive experience in strategic policy analysis and briefings, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. She is currently Senior Advisor at Finance Canada and has previously worked at Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, and Global Affairs Canada. 

Tiffanie holds an M.A. in International Affairs from Carleton University's Norman Paterson School of International Affairs and a B.A. in Political Science and History from Carleton University. She speaks English, French and Chinese.
